It's raining in San Antonio...

...and I mean REALLY raining. Last weekend, I was woken up in the middle of the night by thunder that shook our walls and lightening that permeated even the trustiest eye mask. It. Was. Awesome.

This morning it's coming down really hard, and I wish I could just curl up with some tea and sit on my couch all day. At least it's Friday.

But what I really wish is that we could have hot beverages at school. I'd make the kids hot apple cider and we'd all get our blankets (yes, I keep a blanket at school; it's an old quilt made by John's grandma?) and we'd sit on our reading couches and enjoy books all day. We'd stop only to color or write in our journals. Or maybe to have a dance break. Who doesn't love a dance break? It would be a great day...

Oh, Rain...my love...you nourish my soul and give me peace. You wet my hair and soak my feet. But I don't care.

Today, I'll just wear my galoshes.
